Strong City completed construction for the 2020 SRTS Grant

The City of Strong City was awarded the 2020 SRTS grant!  During the summer of 2023, sidewalks were built in the planned area. They were completed before school began. Strong City participated in National Walk to School Day on October 4th on the brand new sidewalks with students, community members, city representivies, Law Enforcement, School staff and parents/guardians. What a fun morning! As the city waits for the next feasable budget years to make application, we will continue to promote Walk and Roll to School Days as well as promoting the educational components of safe passage to and from school. Examples are: Walk/bike to school, Bicycle safety events outside of school, Law Enforcement presenting safety information in school, posts to social media from many entities within the County. If you have not had an opportunity to see or use the new sidewalks and crosswalks, we highly encourage you to do so!
